Greetings to everyone,

I'm sending you another update on my health. After a break of two weeks, because of liver damage, my chemotherapy was restarted last Friday.  I had two days with not complications, but on Sunday night the chemo effect started consequently I'm  feeling so exhausted, and the nausea is unbearable. I'm afraid my liver might be affected again by the chemo.  I had blood work done yesterday and hope my oncologist will see the results today to advise if I can continue with the treatment this Friday.  I'll have a CT scan on the 17th.  If the CT scan shows no improvement I will consider stopping all treatment as quality of life is more important to me.

Those of you  who attended the community dinner were amazed to see me doing better, reciting some of my poems and talking with a strong voice.  This was because my pain medication was changed  and I was pain free that night. What a difference is being without pain.  I can sleep better and gain some energy to go about my basic and limited activities.

Once again I would like to express my gratitude for all the your phone calls, visits, emails, and cards received during this difficult time. Your support, my family support, and God's grace are  helping me overcome this
struggle.

In gratitude,

Roberto
